“My university is so cool, they even have alumni meetings abroad!”
– Maria, THD-Alumni Ambassador, Vienna
Alumni of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology can be found all over the world. To keep in touch with their alma mater, the DIT, we have our international and national THD-Alumni Chapters.
What is an Alumni Chapter?
An Alumni Chapter offers graduates abroad the opportunity to stay in touch with the DIT and their former fellow students, who live in the same region. Regular meetings and local activities are organized by the respective Alumni Ambassadors.
What is an Alumni Ambassador?
Our Alumni Ambassadors are the link between the Chapter, i.e. the local alumni, and the DIT. Ambassadors are dedicated chapter leaders who coordinate local community activities and represent their interests in the DIT alumni network.

Maria is our first ever Ambassador – in Vienna
Maria studied Tourism Management in Deggendorf and finished her masters in Business Administration at the University Passau. During her studies she gained experience in Controlling and is now working for one of the Big Four in Vienna as a Wirtschaftsprüferin (auditor).
She enjoyed the international focus at the DIT, the personal contact with teaching staff and the practical learning.

Munich – Thomas is Ambassador
My time studying business administration? In hindsight, it was just cool!
A compact campus, direct communication and lots of opportunities for personal development. That’s when I discovered AlumniNet, which immediately inspired me.
After several intense years working for a large corporation, I now have time again to get involved in the Munich alumni network – which not only feels good, but also somehow like a return to my roots.
I’m looking forward to new ideas, old acquaintances and fresh perspectives – maybe at the next event?
